Abbot’s Bromley Horn Dance

This unique dance custom takes place just once a year, in Abbot’s Bromley, Staffordshire, on the first Monday after the first Sunday after September 4th. The dancers carry reindeer horns. I took the first two photos in the mid-1970s (the group one as a re-enactment of Sir Benjamin Stone’s famous Victorian photographic portrait of the dancers).
